In 2010, the Tides Foundation donated $2 million and the Hewlett Foundation another $1.3 million to the Wikimedia Foundation for “general operating support”.
Wikimedia Foundation of course collects donations for the heavily censored Wikipedia...

In 2011, the Stanton Foundation made the largest grant in Wikimedia’s history (at the time), donating $3.6 million, to hire a “Wikipedian in Residence” at Harvard to edit Wikipedia articles on “politically-sensitive” points of view. Tim Sandole, who was hired for this “noble cause”, spoke at an event for Barack Obama’s re-election campaign, which violates the prohibition on political campaigning by non-profit charities.

Hewlett and Tides have also both funded the New Venture Fund: https://archive.is/ZOUXp

Here’s another strange example of Tides donating to another tax-exempt “foundation” – Hewlett – that is also a top donor to the Tides Foundation.

Hewlett received $230,959 from Tides in 2016.

From 2000 to 2015 among the top 6 recipients of the Hewlett Foundation are the Tides Foundation (that received $24,178,370) and the Tides Canada Foundation (that received another $14,054,864): http://leftexposed.org/2016/01/the-hewlett-foundation/
(http://archive.is/glfRM)

The Hewlett Foundation, formally the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, was founded in 1966 by Hewlett-Packard cofounder William Redington Hewlett and his wife Flora Lamson Hewlett. With assets of some $10 billion, it is one of the wealthiest grant makers in the USA.

The largest recipients of grants from the Hewlett Foundation are (many working on the “problem” of overpopulation):
National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy – $60.2 million
International Development Research Centre - $57.1 million
Planned Parenthood (Worldwide and America) - $50.2 million

Stichting Hivos (founded and headquartered in the Netherlands) - $28.8 million
Center for Global Development - $26 million

The Tides Center is relatively low on the list with “only” $8.6 million: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hewlett_Foundation

I guess that most people don’t even realise what could be so wrong with a tax-exempt foundation that funnels money to “charities” to obscure the origins of the grants.
Here are 2 genuine scandals of a sister organisation of Tides, ACORN, which gives a glimpse on what evil lurks behind “charity”...

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) was founded by Wade Rathke. Rathke is also a long-time Board member of the Tides Foundation since 1976 (and other Tides related organisations). Wade Rathke is also the good friend of Tides founder Drummond Pike.
ACORN also received funding from the Tides Foundation.

See ACORN founder Wade Rathke (left) and his buddy, Tides founder Drummond Pike (right) in Peru (standing in front of a poster of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro).
Image

In 2000, ACORN found out that Wade’s brother, Dale Rathke (who died in 2014), had embezzled $948,507.50 from ACORN in 1999 and 2000. Instead of filing charges against the thief they settled the case with the Rathke family to repay the money.

The agreement between ACORN and the Rathkes was registered as a “loan” from Citizens Consulting Inc.
In 2008, Drummond Pike anonymously bought the loan from the affiliate, according to e-mail messages between senior executives at ACORN.

It took until the summer of 2008, that ACORN whistleblowers leaked the story to the press that Dale Rathke had embezzled nearly $1 million from ACORN (Dale Rathke had continued to be an ACORN board member all this time): http://archive.is/muvBp

In September 2009, another scandal marked the end of ACORN.
Independent filmmaker James O'Keefe and activist Hannah Giles pose as a pimp and a prostitute and secretly videotape ACORN employees giving them advice on evading taxes and establishing a brothel with underage girls.

After this Congress stops millions in government funding.
ACORN shut down on 1 April 2010.

In 1992, none other than later US president Barack Obama headed the Project Vote campaign in Chicago, affiliated with ACORN, which helped get Carol Moseley Braun elected to the US Senate.
Obama later represented ACORN when it sued Illinois for violating federal polling laws: https://theweek.com/articles/496396/fall-acorn-timeline

In 2008, Barack Obama paid $832,598 to the ACORN-affiliated Citizens Services Inc. for “sound & lighting equipment” (for his campaign?!). According to ACORN, they only received $30,000 of this money (still a lot of cash for some “equipment”).

In 1999-2000, at the same time that Wade’s brother Dale Rathke embezzled almost $950,000 from ACORN, Obama was running for president, backed by SEIU Local 880 and ACORN.

SEIU Local 880 is basically ACORN controlled. ACORN founder Wade Rathke even signed as SEIU Local 880 "Treasurer" in 2000: https://sorendayton.com/is-obama-connec ... t-scandal/

Citizens Services Inc. is registered at the same address as ACORN (just like a bunch of other shell companies)...

See some of the links from ACORN to Obama’s inner circle, including Citizens Services Inc., Tides and Anna Burger.
Image

Even though the Tides Foundation heavily funded ACORN; they claimed that “none of their money ever went to ACORN”: https://flutemandy.wordpress.com/posts/ ... -up-again/

In February 2009, Anna Burger was appointed as a member to President Obama’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board to provide advice and counsel in the economic crash.

In 1972, Burger started her career as a union activist in the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 668. Burger later was elected as Local 668's first female president.
the SEIU and ACORN have long worked closely together, with the union paying the association more than $3.6 million in the past three years and sharing some office locations and leaders with the group” with the SEIU D.C. headquarters paying ACORN for training, voter registration and other organizing work.

On 27 September 2007, Anna Burger, John Podesta, and Andrew Stern emailed an interesting memo on the strategy in the coming Obama campaign to several controversial billionaires - George Soros, Peter Lewis, Herb and Marion Sandler, Steve Bing, John Sperling, and Michael Vachon: http://www.discoverthenetworks.com/indi ... indid=2445
(http://archive.is/r9yzu)

Anna Burger was also Vice Chair of the Obama-affiliated Democracy Alliance.
See (part of) the network of the George Soros controlled Democracy Alliance.

Tides Foundation founder Drummond Pike is part of the Democracy Alliance.

Maybe the following doesn’t add much to what I posted already on the Tides Foundation, but it is a good overview story on Tides (there aren’t many good stories on Tides).
In practice, “Tides” behaves less like a philanthropy than a money-laundering enterprise (apologies to Procter & Gamble), taking money from other foundations and spending it as the donor requires. Called donor-advised giving, this pass-through funding vehicle provides public-relations insulation for the money’s original donors. By using Tides to funnel its capital, a large public charity can indirectly fund a project with which it would prefer not to be directly identified in public. Drummond Pike has reinforced this view, telling The Chronicle of Philanthropy: “Anonymity is very important to most of the people we work with.”
(…)

When Ben & Jerry’s announced that profits from its popular “Rainforest Crunch” ice cream flavor were earmarked for save-the-earth charities, the mass media swooned. What they didn’t tell you was that 20% of the cut went directly to the Tides Foundation.
(…)

The Tides Foundation and Tides Center continue to build their activist war chest by exacting an 8 to 9 percent “handling fee” on funds that pass through on their way to other activists. Some monies are awarded as “grants” in the traditional fashion (according to “donor-advised” agreements). It’s impossible to know for sure whose money is being spent for which of these grants. Other funds go toward management services to existing activist organizations in return for a percentage of their gross revenues.

In still other examples, the Tides Center offers financial and administrative support for start-up advocacy groups. In this last case, the Tides Center offers a sort of blanket tax-exempt designation for its grantees and projects. The entire foundation (pun intended) on which the Tides Center is built depends on the notion that the law allows one tax-exempt group to “lend” its exemption to another organization.
https://activistfacts.com/organizations ... es-center/
(http://archive.is/ZMrqu)

Apparently the tax-exempt Tides Foundation makes a huge profit from the hundreds of millions of dollars that go through it per year. 8% of $291 million (for 2018) is $23.3 million
Where did all this money go - to its board members and other employees?!?

We have all heard of the legendary Robin Hood, who “stole from the rich to give to the poor”.
So in our Brave New World, the rich in 1988 founded the Robin Hood Foundation so they can continue robbing the poor, while claiming to end poverty...

None other than the controversial Harvey Weinstein was a co-founder, who was forced to resign from its board after some women complained that he sexually abused them.
Robin Hood has raised more than $3 billion in its existence.

On its boards serve a bunch of wonderful “philanthropists”, including:
Lloyd Blankfein (CEO Goldman Sachs)
Glenn Dubin
Laurence D. Fink (CEO BlackRock)

Lachlan Murdoch
Jes Staley
Jeff Zucker (CNN president): https://www.robinhood.org/about-us/gove ... index.html
(http://archive.is/GuIms)

Besides the Robin Hood Foundation there is also the “Robin Hood Tax”, supposedly founded to push for a tax on corporations.

One of the largest donors to the “Robin Hood Tax” is the Open Society Foundation of none other than Trump/Kushner/Clinton funder George Soros (also a large donor to Tides).
From January 2009 to April 2014 the Open Society Foundation donated $50 million to the Robin Hood Tax.

Warren Buffett has tried to sell himself as a “tax reform hero” and pushed Robin Hood to the frontline as the “ultimate tax hero”.
In 2011, the Tides Foundation donated $537,673 to groups supporting the “Robin Hood Tax”: https://www.mrc.org/articles/robin-hood ... -and-media
(http://archive.is/GEXDb)

The yearly gala of the Robin Hood Foundation is one of those events where the rich and famous want to be seen...
See for example New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, David Saltzman (Executive Director Robin Hood) and Oprah Winfrey at the Robin Hood Foundation's 2015 gala.
Image

Earlier this year Robin Hood staged a gala to get us to donate, so they will “help” those poor New Yorkers, whose lives have been destroyed by the COVID-19 lockdown.

Robin Hood has been supported by corporate donors (that have profited from the coronavirus “pandemic”), including Barclays, BlackRock, Capital One, Goldman Sachs Gives, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and the Jane and Daniel Och Family Foundation.

Karlie Kloss, the sister-in-law of Ivanka’s husband Jared Kushner, was one of the celebrities at this gala: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 57130.html
(http://archive.is/KFmpe)

In 2018, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation donated $5 million to Robin Hood: https://web.archive.org/web/20201031051 ... OPP1194273

While the Robin Hood Foundation makes all sorts of wild claims about how incredibly successful its efforts are to end poverty in New York, it doesn’t provide any evidence for its impact (of course we can trust those wonderful billionaires, who keep getting richer, while the poor get poorer): https://blog.givewell.org/2009/12/08/wh ... t-nothing/

On 26 July, I searched in vain for current information on the major shareholders in BlackRock and PNC Financial Services. Thanks to our wonderful media and watchdogs that keep both eyes closed, this is another exclusive story.
To my shock this information has been (almost) completely censored since 30 March 2020 (for all American corporations!). Since December 2017, I have repeatedly looked at the major shareholders in some of the biggest corporation in the USA. So I know that “normally” this information is available every day.

I couldn’t find a single story on the internet on this blatant act of censorship that obscures the results of the “going direct” plan in the next “crisis” that was authored by BlackRock in August 2019.

CNN does have some more recent information on “institutional activity” (30 June seems to be the cut off date for that).
Obviously this isn’t current (while CNN doesn’t even list the date of the information!) as PNC Bank is still listed as the biggest shareholder in BlackRock with 22% (that sold most of its stake in May): https://money.cnn.com/quote/shareholder ... titutional

Another interesting investment fund that I had never heard of is the First Trust Portfolios LP that is so “secretive” that it doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page!
In 2014, First Trust owned almost 10% of the shares in the largest investment fund in the whole world BlackRock...

Here’s some “current” information on the portfolio of First Trust: https://fintel.io/i/first-trust-portfolios-lp

At the following link, is just about the only information I found on First Trust on the whole internet!
The Wheaton, Illinois, based company doesn’t have a big building for a headquarter or much publicity. Even many professionals working in the ETF industry don’t know of First Trust.

First Trust generates some $475 million in Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) revenue a year, that’s not far behind the gigantic Vanguard with $620 million a year.
But as First Trust lets their clients pay much higher fees, their profit margins are obviously much higher than Vanguard’s.

Much of First Trust is owned by its CEO James Allen Bowen (who must be very wealthy and powerful).
Bowen bought the company from the family of Robert Donald Van Kampen, for a mere $3 million in 2010: https://www.etfstream.com/features/etf- ... owerhouse/

If you’ve ever looked into 9/11 “conspiracies” you must have found out that all of the best known “9/11 truthers” leave out the best information and instead make allegations without the needed "evidence".
One of the better known 9/11-forums is Letsrollforums.com. Letsrollforums.com is the third forum where I have been a member that has been taken down since the coronavirus “pandemic” was started (after the “old” Forum.davidicke.com and Rechtenforum.nl).

Project Censored has been funded by the Stern Family Fund and the Tides Foundation that still feature prominently on its website: https://www.projectcensored.org/why-sup ... -censored/
(http://archive.is/qiT7d)

Project Censored is chaired by Peter Martin Phillips, who became “famous” for writing about the Bohemian Grove.

(Former) “9/11 truther” Abby Martin was a director of Project Censored.
See Abby Martin and Alex Jones at Bilderberg 2008.

Before becoming a Project Censored “conspiracy theorist”, Abby worked on the 2004 campaign for John Kerry (the Bonesman selected to get the much hated Bush Jr. re-elected).

After leaving Project Censored, Abby Martin continued her career in disinformation for RT (Kremlin-funded Russia Today) from 2012 to 2015: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abby_Martin

Of course “human rights” charities are mostly used to change policies (supported by the biggest “civilised” human rights abusers).
Many of these “charities” push the LGBT agenda (as part of the depopulation agenda)...

The following lists the leading “Human Rights” donors in 2012 (including the Dutch Nationale Postcode Loterij and Hivos).

Open Society Foundations (George Soros) - $262.2 million
Ford Foundation - $214.6 million
W.K. Kellogg Foundation - $85.8 million
Comic Relief UK - $80.4 million
Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program (of the second largest investment fund in the world) - $80.2 million

National Endowment for Democracy (CIA front) - $78.4 million
Atlantic Philanthropies - $70.4 million
Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation - $64.5 million
Oak Foundation - $53.5 million
NoVo Foundation (Warren Buffett) - $44.9 million
John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation - $44.1 million

Tides Foundation - $32.6 million
American Jewish World Service - $29.4 million
Hivos - $29.2 million
Nationale Postcode Loterij - $27.9 million

Sigrid Rausing Trust - $27.9 million
Freedom House - $26.5 million
California Endowment - $25.4 million
Public Welfare Foundation - $22.5 million
NEO Philanthropy - $19.2 million: http://foundationcenter.issuelab.org/re ... /21942.pdf

Here’s an interesting NGO - Girls not brides - that was founded and is chaired by Mabel Wisse Smit (widow of Prince Friso of the Netherlands) in 2011. It was founded through the Elders (that Mabel once chaired, she is still on its Advisory Council).
I couldn’t find information on the amount paid to Mabel for all of this “philanthropy”.

Some say that it’s hypocritical to “lobby” against girl brides; while the Netherlands at the same time imports child brides under the guise of family reunion (naturally mass migration is also part of the “human rights” lobby!).

Here are some of the biggest funders of Girls not brides.

The Dutch government (through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
The Canadian government (through the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development)

The Ford Foundation
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
Bloomberg Philanthropies

The Nationale Postcode Loterij
The NoVo Foundation Fund of Tides Foundation: https://www.girlsnotbrides.org/about-gi ... overnance/
