Dutch-Pakistani bomb hoax

Post by Firestarter »

Apparently most people take all of this nuclear bomb nonsense seriously. To me it looks like it was written by B-movie script writers. With more links to the Netherlands…
What all the reports forget is that the technology and other information that this Pakistani spy got isn’t really secret or very complex at all. So ‘anybody’ could have made nuclear bombs in the 1940s/50s.

In 1974, the Pakistani Abdul Qadeer Khan worked at a centrifuge production facility of Physical Dynamics Research Laboratory (FDO) in the Netherlands, a subcontractor for the Dutch nuclear equipment company Urenco (where Khan later also worked).
AQ Khan wasn't any sort of "nuclear physicist" but an engineer (metallurgy), and offered his services to the Pakistani government to help them make a science fictional nuclear bomb.
AQ Khan stole designs for centrifuges for the Pakistani nuclear program from the Dutch company he was working for.

James Corbett once again blaming the US...
Former CIA agent and high Pentagon official Richard Barlow complains that he was fired as a whistleblower for trying to expose the Pakistani efforts to build an atomic bomb.
Barlow and US Customs tried to catch the Pakistanis Arshad Pervez and Inam ul-Haq that were buying materials for a uranium centrifuge from a Pennsylvania company. Pervez was arrested, but ul-Haq never arrived because he had been tipped off about the sting operation by officials close to the White House: https://corbettreport.com/nuclear-secre ... -the-bomb/

Already in 1973, Frits Veerman, Khan's Dutch colleague at FDO, discovered nuclear espionage by AQ Khan, who had stolen designs of the centrifuges from URENCO, and since then reported this to the Dutch authorities repeatedly.
The Netherlands allowed Khan to leave for Pakistan in 1975 and to keep importing materials for Pakistan's nuclear bomb program from the Netherlands and other European suppliers.
In October 1975, at a nuclear show in Basel, BVD agents followed Khan as he asked vendors about nuclear weapons.

In 1977, Dutch businessman Nico Zondag reported that Pakistan was buying products to build a nuclear bomb.
In March 1979, the German TV Station ZDF exposed A.Q. Khan’s role in Pakistan’s nuclear weapons program. It also reported that the nuclear program is using blueprints stolen from the Dutch company where Khan had worked.

The Netherlands once again using the US as a scapegoat...
Dutch PM in the 1980s Ruud Lubbers later said that the Dutch intelligence agency BVD knew of Khan's espionage activities, but he was allowed to continue because of pressure from the CIA, who backed Pakistan during the "Cold War".
Nonetheless Khan was sentenced in absentia to 4 years in prison in 1983 by the Netherlands for spying, but the conviction was later overturned.

In 1984, a Dutch foreign-ministry official reported that exports to Pakistan continued, “including essential bomb components that for whatever reason couldn’t be blocked”.
Khan regularly flew to Brussels (Belgium), then drove to neighbouring countries visiting suppliers and scientists.

AQ Khan imported some of the equipment for enriching uranium from the Dutch Henk Slebos.
In 1985, Slebos was sentenced to a year in prison, with the sentence reduced on appeal to 6 months probation and a fine of 20,000 guilders. Slebos continued to export material to Pakistan, so was again sentenced to a year in prison and a fine of €100,000 imposed on his company.
Khan returned to the Netherlands repeatedly, including for a visit to his father-in-law in 1992. A.Q. Khan also continued to meet Slebos in the Netherlands, for example in December 1988.

Khan sold nuclear "starter kits" to many countries for decades including Syria and Saudi Arabia, from "Dutch knowledge": https://archive.is/EgTF0

From 1987 to 1989, Khan secretly sold information on centrifuges to Iran without notifying the Pakistan government.

On 7 June 1998, 10 days after Pakistan's first underground nuclear test, the North Korean Kim Sa Nae was shot to death yards from Khan's residence because she was suspected of being a spy for the US by the ISI that subsequently informed the North Korean authorities. Three days later, Pakistani centrifuges, warheads, and technical data, were flown to North Korea.

The "A.Q. Khan network" involved shell companies set-up in Dubai (in the UAE where else?) to buy equipment for nuclear enrichment.
From 1999 onwards, Khan travelled to Dubai 41 times where he owned a penthouse on posh al-Maktoum Road.

On 4 February 2004, Khan confessed on Pakistan Television (PTV) to selling nuclear technology to Iran between 1989 and 1991, and to North Korea and Libya between 1991 and 1997. He later withdrew the confession.

The following video is by some nuclear bomb denier. It includes information on the atomic bomb programs of France, China, India, Pakistan and North Korea.
This video got a little over 600 views on Youtube in 6 years. The earlier 5 videos in the “fake atomics” series are also worth the watch.
