TERRORIST

CONTROLLED MEANING: One who reacts or protests against the government by unacceptable measures; usually an Arab, a White Supremacist, or a dissenter. Acts of violence against the government are acts against the citizenry as a whole.

ACTUAL MEANING: One who uses violence or the threat of violence to intimidate or coerce, especially for political reasons. Politicians (the true terrorists) label anyone, or any group, that reacts against government oppression as terrorists. Groups or nations too small to have their own military and air force are labeled "terrorists" when they fight against government oppression.

Big governments terrorize people and small nations by threats, intimidations, robbery, and war. This is true terrorism. Those who speak or act against government terrorism are counter-labeled "terrorists" by politicians and lackeys in the media. Terrorist-type incidents are commonly orchestrated by government intelligence (CIA, NSA, FBI, ATF, MI5, Mossad, etc.) agents sent to infiltrate dissident groups, inciting one or more of the weak-minded ones to "help them" do something immoral or illegal – like planting a bomb. Afterwards, the secret agents conveniently disappear, the blame is aimed at "terrorists," the police and media follow their scripts handed down to them, and the incident is used as an excuse to pass more laws to increase police and military powers.

Nolo’s Plain-English Law Dictionary
Patriot Act
Shorthand label for a lengthy and complex package of federal antiterrorism and general crime control laws signed into law less than two months after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. (The legislations formal name is the Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act.) The Patriot Act was reenacted in 2006. Some sections of the original law were deleted or amended. Some provisions, including the authority for roving wiretaps, expire in 2009 unless they are reenacted. Under the Patriot Act, it is a federal crime to commit dangerous and illegal acts on U.S. soil with the intent to intimidate or coerce the government or a civilian population. It is also a federal crime to hack into government computers, give financial assistance to terrorists, and to possess substances that can be used for biological or chemical weapons for nonpeaceful purposes.
Quotes

Rocco Galati said:
19 terrorists in 6 weeks have been able to command 300 million North Americans to do away with the entirety of their civil liberties that took 700 years to advance from the Magna Carta onward. The terrorists have already won the political and ideological war with one terrorist act. It is mindboggling that we are that weak as a society.
Leon Uris said:
Terrorism is the war of the poor. War is the terrorism of the rich.
Margaret Thatcher said:
All attempts to destroy democracy by terrorism will fail. It must be business as usual.
Adolf Hitler:
Terrorism is the best political weapon for nothing drives people harder than a fear of sudden death.
Being daily better informed about their knowledge than my adversaries themselves, I argued till finally one day they applied the one means that wins the easiest victory over reason: terror and force.
William S. Cohen:
Terrorism is escalating to the point that Americans soon may have to choose between civil liberties and more intrusive means of protection.
Laura Murphy:
The civil liberties of people of all ideologies are threatened by a government determined to appear tough on terrorism. The government is going to be given broad new powers to investigate people for political activities -- activities on both sides of the political spectrum.
Bernard H. Levin:
If we expected self-reliance of family groups, if we expected hardiness and resilience and initiative on the part of individuals, and if we rewarded initiative instead of dependence on government, we would not only ameliorate many of the family-related social problems we see at present, but we would also reduce our vulnerability to terrorism. People who are hardy, resilient, and self reliant are a lot harder to terrorize.
Jacob G. Hornberger:
The core issue facing the American people is this: Have the guardians become the terrorists?
George W. Bush:
Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists.
Let us never tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories concerning the attacks of September the 11th; malicious lies that attempt to shift the blame away from the terrorists, themselves, away from the guilty.
Carl J. Friedrich:
The history of totalitarian regimes is reflected in the evolution and perfection of the instruments of terror and more especially the police
.

Thomas Paine:
All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian, or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit.
Harry S. Truman:
Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.
Dr. Ron Paul:
Times of tragedy and war naturally bring out strong emotions... Sometimes people are only too anxious to sacrifice their constitutional liberties during a crisis, hoping to gain some measure of security. Yet nothing would please terrorists more than if we willingly gave up our cherished liberties because of their actions.
Unknown:
War is the tool through which the remaining Constitutional restraints on government and rights of the people will be destroyed. War will be the gateway through which total statism in any of its forms (fascism, socialism, communism) will be imposed upon the United States. They will rally the people’s patriotism, and give the laws Orwellian sounding names like the “Patriot Acts”, and “Freedom Laws” and cries of “America First,” but these acts will be anti-patriotic, anti-freedom, and anti-American. At the core of all these activities will be one purpose -- to impose ever increasing control over the citizens, marching toward total statism. They will suspend due process and Constitutional restrictions proclaiming “extraordinary times” require extraordinary measures. At first they will only be used against a few select atrocious and most heinous individuals with unfamiliar appearance, customs and beliefs. Initially, it will simply be a matter of degree, but the precedent is now set. Extraordinary measures solely for extraordinary individuals, but slowly and then more rapidly the extraordinary will become the ordinary until such measures can apply to anyone. They will deride anyone who opposes these Orwellian acts as dangerously naïve, as pacifists, as isolationists, as unpatriotic, as sympathizing with “the enemy” whoever “the enemy” may be at the time, and as un-American. They will make war with vague, ever changing goals and objectives. They will make war on elusive, obscure enemies by proclaiming wars against “subversives” or “guerillas” or “militias” or “revolutionaries” or “aggressors” or “terrorists” or whatever ambiguous name they can imagine so that the enemies” will always be elusive, never eliminated or fully defeated. There will always be more “enemies.” War will be perpetual, lasting years or even decades. War will be the final mechanism that destroys America from within; and the people will proudly cheer and defend and support the dismantling of their rights and destruction of their Constitutional Republic, all out of supposed “necessity” to support “the war.”
